About me

Welcome to my site. My name is Johana. I am from the Dominican Republic and moved to the United States about four years ago.

The Jet Set nightclub collapse deeply affected me. Since I had a family member who died at the Jet Set, it made me realize that building safety problems exist everywhere, and why is building safety is important all across the world. Tragedies like the Champlain Towers South and Jet Set club collapses show how dangerous poor maintenance can be.

I created this website to honor the lives lost and to raise awareness about the importance of safe buildings. Proper maintenance and care can prevent disasters and protect lives.
